Updating the Orchestrator plugin for vSphere Replication to the latest version didn't update the Workflow version and Inventory not shown

Issue/Introduction

After updating the vSphere Replication plugin 9.0.x the following Symptoms are seen:

• the Orchestrator plugin page shows the vSphere Replication plugin 9.0.x as installed and enabled
• Orchestrator Inventory does not load any sites for vSphere Replication
• vSphere Replication workflows still show the old 8.x version
• Upon service restart the Orchestrator log /services-logs/prelude/vco-app/file-logs/vco-server-app.log shows:

  ch.dunes.vso.sdk.ModulesFactory - Naming conflict : Automation Orchestrator plug-in 'VR' attempts to define a scripting object 'VRConfigurationSettings' that has already been definde by Automation Orchestrator plug-in 'VR'
  ch.dunes.vso.sdk.ModulesFactory - Automation Orchestrator plug-in 'VR' will not be loaded because of naming conflict(s)

Environment

• Aria Automation Orchestrator 8.18.x
• vSphere Replication plugin 

Cause

There were two or more *.dar files for the plugin on the file system, representing the previous and the upgraded plugin.

This depending on the environment can lead to loading different versions of the content on the initial start-up.

Resolution

Re-install the plugin and remove older plugin version.

Before proceeding please ensure a valid Backup / Snapshot of the environment has been taken!

1. Within Orchestrator client, navigate to System settings > Plug-ins and uninstall the VR plug-in
2. Wait until the Orchestrator service has been restarted.
3. Login to the shell session of each appliance of the cluster.
4. Navigate to folder: cd /data/vco/usr/lib/vco/app-server/plugins
5. Delete or move any other VR plugin, e.g.: mv vr-?.?.?-*.dar /root/
6. In Orchestrator client, System settings > Plug-ins install the required VR plug-in
