Issue/Introduction

 

APPLY CHECK processing fails after satisfying LU06367 ++HOLD action requirements.

 

When trying to APPLY LU06367 after following its ++HOLD action (the ARM JES2 converter exit is reassembled successfully BEFORE apply processing of this PTF, as directed in the ACTION HOLD info), APPLY CHECK processing shows the following error  messages: 

GIM38201E ** THERE IS A MODID ERROR FOR SRC ENTRY KNGED009 IN SYSMOD LU06367.                                         
GIM31901I    SYSMOD LU06367 DOES NOT SPECIFY SAMUM04 ON THE PRE OR SUP OPERAND. SAMUM04 IS THE RMID FOR SRC KNGED009  
             THAT IS CURRENTLY INSTALLED.                                                                             
GIM38201E ** THERE IS A MODID ERROR FOR MOD ENTRY KNGED009 IN SYSMOD LU06367.                                         
GIM31901I    SYSMOD LU06367 DOES NOT SPECIFY SAMUM04 ON THE PRE OR SUP OPERAND. SAMUM04 IS THE RMID FOR MOD KNGED009

GIM22601I    APPLY PROCESSING FAILED FOR SYSMOD LU06367.  

Resolution

The SMP/E error can be resolved by doing a RESTORE on Auto Restore Manager for Disk USERMOD SAMUM04, then doing an APPLY of Vantage PTF LU06367, and then re-installing the SAMUM04 usermod; HOWEVER, before re-installing SAMUM04, the source code of this usermod needs to have a PRE added to the ++VER card, such as: 

++VER(Z038) FMID(CCTUE10) PRE (LU06367).
