vCenter upgrade fails in stage 2 on step 3 Import copied data to target vCenter

Issue/Introduction

VC upgrade fails at import copied data and fails to download logs. 

You may see errors from the logs showing connection refused to local host and the upgrade logs show a failure with no space left on device. 

OSError: [Errno 28] No space left on device: '/storage/seat/cis-export-folder/system-data/cis_upgrade_data.sfe.upgradeLock'

Cause

Unsupported upgrade path. Going from a newer patch release of 7.0 to an older release of 8.0.

Resolution

Check the IMT and select a supported version from the chart.
