Issue/Introduction

Symptoms :

• Physical disk shows unhealthy under Dell VxRail Physical View tab.

• Location path : ESXi host > Monitor > VxRail > Physical View

Reference screenshot :

Verification :

• The disk shows healthy from the Dell iDRAC server Management console.

• The disk and disk group shows healthy on the vSAN Disk Management.

• The disk alert is noticed only from the VxRail UI, but the physical disk is working as expected.

• Restarting the ESXi will not clear the alert.

Environment

 Dell VxRail deployed under the following environment:

VMware vSphere ESXi 8.x
VMware vSphere ESXi 7.x
VMware vSphere ESXi 6.x

Cause

• There is no issue with the physical disk or with ESXi environment.

Resolution

• As there is no issue with the ESXi or with the Physical disk, we recommended to reach Dell vXrail support team to clear the alert..
