Updating NSX is failing with mismatchedProductVersion NSX_T_MANAGER in the lcm.log

Issue/Introduction

patching NSX-T from version 4.2.1.0-24304122 to 4.2.2.2-24765084.  The upgrade starts but then fails.  

lcm.log shows this  "mismatchedProductVersion NSX_T_MANAGER=[4.2.1.0.0-24304122]".

In addition,the lcm.log will show the following similar error: 
[vcf_lcm,0000000000000000,0000,upgradeId=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx,resourceType=NSX_T_PARALLEL_CLUSTER,resourceId=xxxxxxxxxxxxx.xx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx:_ParallelClusterUpgradeElement,bundleElementId=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx] [c.v.v.c.n.s.c.c.ComplexHelpers,Upgrade-8] Exception occurred during NSX API invocation

SDDC Manager 5.2.x
NSX 4.x

Cause

Alarms for decommissioned host in the NSX manager.

Resolution

Follow the steps for removing ESXi from NSX not part of the SDDC: Remove any hosts in NSX manager that were decommissioned from the SDDC Manager.
