This article provide information on whether VMware vRealize Network Insight (vRNI) / Aria Operations for Networks allows the creation of additional local SSH user accounts on the appliance.

Resolution

vRealize Network Insight (vRNI) / Aria Operations for Networks only allows SSH access through two predefined system accounts:

• support

• consoleuser

Manually creating additional local user accounts through the underlying Linux operating system for SSH access is not supported on these appliances.
