Issue/Introduction

Customer upgrade their API Portal to version 5.3.2.

They enrol a Proxy Gateway into the Tenant and everything appears to work just fine and APIs are correctly in synch

However, the customer observed this error in Proxy Gateway SSG's logs:

2025-07-17T14:31:06.050+0800 INFO    237  com.l7tech.server.policy.assertion.ServerHttpRoutingAssertion: 4038: Downstream service returned status (400). This is considered a failure case.
2025-07-17T14:31:06.050+0800 WARNING 237  com.l7tech.server.task.ScheduledPolicyRunner: 2520: Error in Portal Sync API scheduled task policy execution: Assertion Falsified

Environment

API Portal 5.3+

Cause

Gateway Legacy Global Tasks are no longer used to synchronise with Portal 5.3+ as we currently use a MQ-based enhanced synchronisation mechanism.

Resolution

1. In the Policy Manager, go to Task > Global Settings > Manage Scheduled Tasks

2. Select the affected Task and click on Edit

3. Disable the task by unchecking the Enable option then press OK
