• Can we collect the best practice metrics listed on NetApp's Recommended ESXi host and other ONTAP settings page?

  e.g.

  • Host Settings: VMFS3.HardwareAcceleratedLocking

  • NFS Settings: Net.TcpipHeapSize

  • FC/FCoE Settings: Path selection policy

  • iSCSI Settings: Disk.QFullSampleSize

Resolution

The Management Pack for NetApp does not currently collect any of the best practice metrics/properties.

• Vote for the Collect additional vCenter/ESXi settings values with Management Pack for NetApp to confirm adherence to best practices feature request 

Workaround:

• Use the Telegraf agent to collect guest OS/custom metrics. See Configure the telegraf agent on a Linux VM for Aria Operations.
