Failed to deploy robot_update to AIX robot - Unable to install dependency '[P:robot_update,V:3.0,T:ge]->AIX'

Issue/Introduction

You are trying to upgrade an existing AIX robot under a remote hub by deploying the latest robot_update package.

The deployment fails with the error: Unable to install dependency '[P:robot_update,V:3.0,T:ge]->AIX'

 

Environment

DX UIM - Any Version
AIX 7
robot_update > 3.0

Cause

distsrv forwarding options not enabled, package not present in remote archive

Resolution

This error occurs when you attempt a remote distribution and the package you are trying to distribute is not present in the Archive of the remote hub.

In order to resolve this issue you must create a forwarding record to forward the robot_update package to the remote hub from the primary hub, so that new versions of robot_update will be forwarded to the archive of that remote hub.
