Issue/Introduction

In the AAI Monitoring page, the "Job Definitions Updated" has not been updated in more then 1 day.

This task on most Autosys schedulers should run once a day by default so it should never be more then 24 hours behind.

If you attempt to force an "Update" of the scheduler to force the job definitions to download and it still fails, you may see an error like below in the jaws.log or other errors.

WARN [ConverterServiceControl] Error occurred while converting scheduler "<schedulerName" (no changes committed)
org.hibernate.exception.ConstraintViolationException: could not execute batch [ORA-00001: unique constraint (XAK1JAWSJOB) violated

The error above indicates a duplicate job name from the same scheduler trying to be inserted into the AAI database.

Environment

Resolution

In order to troubleshoot this type of issue please enable DEBUG on the following two loggers in the AAI configuration tool:

ContextChecker

ContextDatabaseHelper

Once these are set to DEBUG, either:

  • Force a download by clicking on the affected scheduler on the AAI->Monitoring page and clicking the "Update" button and allow it to fail
  • Wait for the next Converter cycle, which by default is 2AM

Once the converter fails, please gather all logs from the <AAI Install Dir>/jboss/standalone/log directory for that day and provide it to Broadcom Support through a case.
