Issue/Introduction

Observed inconsistent behavior with the Personal Recovery Key (PRK) update prompt in PGP Encryption Console on macOS.

Summary of Observations:

After regaining system access using PRK via the PGP Encryption Console UI, the “Update Recovery Key” window often appears with a delay of 15–20 minutes.

In some instances, the prompt does not appear at all, even after multiple system reboots.

This inconsistency impacts the expected recovery workflow and may result in users continuing with outdated recovery keys.

Environment

PGP Encryption Desktop version: 11.0.1, 11.5

Resolution

This issue will be fixed in a future release.

However, there is no impact and no data loss, and the product can continue to be deployed on production machines.
