How to change the default filter for widgets in installed content packs in VMware Aria Operations for Logs

Issue/Introduction

When viewing logs through a specific installed content pack and clicking a widget name, no logs are displayed with the default filter. After changing the filter appropriately, the logs appear. This article describes the procedure for changing the default filter for different widgets.

Environment

VMware Aria Operations for Logs 8.x

Resolution

1. Export the content pack as a .vlcp file.

2. Modify the .vlcp file by replacing all instances of \"value\":\"<default-filter-value-####>\" with \"value\":\"<new-filter-value-####>\".

3. Import the modified .vlcp file and install it as a content pack.
