This article outlines the compatibility of Eviden BullSequana SH80 servers with VMware Cloud Foundation, as documented in the Broadcom Compatibility Guide (BCG), and highlights current platform IPMI limitations.
Eviden BullSequana SH80 servers have limited support for Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) functionality. As a result, users may experience issues related to:
These limitations may affect operational visibility and remote management capabilities via IPMI when using VMware Cloud Foundation with this server platform. However, they do not impact workload performance, deployment, or the ability to run workloads on Eviden BullSequana SH80 servers. Core compute and virtualization functions remain fully supported.

The Eviden BullSequana SH80 server does not fully implement the IPMI functionality required to meet Broadcom’s hardware health integration standards.
Eviden provides a free tool called OneBSM, a server monitoring and management platform designed specifically for Eviden hardware.
OneBSM offers centralized monitoring and management of Eviden servers from a single pane of glass. It enables administrators to view sensor data, monitor chassis health, and gain operational insights directly from their workstation.
