Unable to assign proper licenses to Aria operations

Issue/Introduction

• Logging in to Aria Operations as vCenter user, it is not possible to manage or assign licenses. (For example: [email protected])
• License Management is missing from the Subscriptions menu section.
• The Subscriptions menu section only contains Legacy Licenses as per the screenshot below:

Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

vCenter users do not have the relevant permissions to access License Management.

Resolution

As it is not possible to edit a vCenter users role/permissions, instead login as the admin user or a user who has the Subscriptions >> Licensing permissions as part of their applied role.
