Procedure to set the SM_ENABLE_TCP_KEEPALIVE environment variable.

Resolution

Steps to set the environment variable on Windows:

1. Right click on Windows "Start"

2. Click on System"

  • Right-click on the Start button and select "System."
  • In the System window, click "Advanced system settings" on the left-hand side.
  • Open Environment Variables:
  • In the "System Properties" window, navigate to the "Advanced" tab. 
  • Click the "Environment Variables" button.
  • Click on the New Button as shown below,



Add the variable name "SM_ENABLE_TCP_KEEPALIVE", as shown below.

Add the variable value as 1.

Select OK once updated.
