Issue/Introduction

Start Periods for future Fiscal Years do not show up in View Options when Type 'Periods' is selected.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. For the default Entity, configure Fiscal Time Periods for some previous and future years (e.g.: demo dataset includes Monthly, Quarterly and Annual periods from 2012 to 2027).
  2. Navigate to Projects grid (or Staffing > Staff).
  3. Open View Options and select a Period Type (following the example, Monthly, Quarterly or Annual) as well as Type to 'Duration'.
  4. Browse the Start Period.

Expected and Actual Results: Start Periods from that type appear from 2012 to 2027.

  1. Change Type to 'Periods'.
  2. Browse the Start Period and End Period.

Expected Results: Start Periods from that type appear from 2012 to 2027. End Periods show periods from currently selected Start Period to 2027.

Actual Results: Start Periods from that type appear from 2012 to 2025 (i.e.: current year). End Periods show periods from currently selected Start Period to 2027 (End Periods behaviour is expected).

Resolution

This is working as per the current intended design.

When the type is "Periods", you can set both the Start and the End Periods. By default, the Start Period is set to "Start of Current Year" and the End Period is set to "End of Current Year". The Start Period will not show any period after the one that is set as End Period (Start Period ≥ End Period).
