Issue/Introduction
When using VCF Installer Deployment Wizard to deploy a new VCF Fleet environment, DNS Resolution Validation Pre checks fails with error IP address xx.xx.xx.xx for product VCF Automation is already resolved from an FQDN in the SDDC Specification. Use unique IP Addresses in the input specification
Environment
VCF Automation 9.0
Cause
The Appliance FQDN entered during the VCFA configuration has a DNS mapping to one of the additional node IPs provided for the VCFA nodes.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, ensure the FQDN used as the VCFA Appliance FQDN has no overlapping DNS mappings with the IPs used for the VCFA Nodes.
Note:
For VCFA installation configurations, it is expected to provide a total of 4 unique IP addresses for the Node IPs (3 for the nodes in the HA cluster of the VCFA and 1 to be used as the recreational IP/ Temporary IP)
For these 4 IPs, DNS resolution is not mandatory.
Apart from these we require a unique FQDN to be used as the VCFA Appliance FQDN (similar to the concept of a VIP FQDN). It is required that this FQDN does not have over lapping DNS mappings to the 4 node IPs provided.
