NSX backup restore fails with bad passphrase error

Issue/Introduction

During the backup restoration attempt, the following error was observed:
Restore process was aborted, appliance is in a "read-only" mode. In order to restore a MP node: 1) destroy this node; 2) resolve observed errors; 3) deploy a new MP appliance with the same IP address or FQDN and a version number; 4) execute a restore process again, possible with another backup timestamp. 'Cluster' restore failure, possible due to a bad passphrase.

Cause

Backup restoration failed due to an incorrect passphrase.

Resolution

• Kindly remove the currently failed NSX manager node from vCenter inventory (check this doc on how to remove the NSX manager VM from vCenter) and deploy a new instance.
