Issue/Introduction

Since the upgrade to 4.2.2 all attempts to update any Windows Proxy target account immediately fail with the following error:
Windows Proxy  - PAM-CM-3455: No Password Authority Windows Proxy specified

Environment

Affects PAM releases 4.2.2 and 4.2.3 GA with Windows Proxy target accounts.

Cause

This affects all Windows Proxy target accounts associated with target applications, where more than one Proxy is selected under the Windows Proxy tab:

Support of Proxy installations on Windows 2025, added in the 4.2.2 release, required the addition of a check on the Windows Proxy server release. This check could run into a problem when a list of Proxy servers was configured, rather than just one Proxy.

Resolution

The problem was fixed as 36467995/DE641338 in the 4.3 release and will be included in the 4.2.4 release as well. For PAM 4.2.3, apply published patch 4.2.3.02.

If you have this problem with 4.2.2 and cannot upgrade to a newer release yet, open a case with PAM Support for assistance.
