Unable to upgrade AutoSys scheduler on the Tie-Breaker server

Issue/Introduction

After running the Autossys 24.x installer on the Tie-Breaker server as root, the installer only updated the EEM component and none of the other components.

From the installation logs:

Environment

AutoSys 12.x 24.x

Cause

The $AUTOSYS environment variable was pointing to the incorrect location and the incorrect globalVars file was being found.

Resolution

Make a backup of $ATUOSYS/globalVars
Example
/opt/app/AutoSys/CA/WorkloadAutomationAE/autosys/globalVars

Edit the   $ATUOSYS/globalVars
IA_AE_INSTALLED_SSA = 1
IA_AE_IS_FIPS_ENABLED = 0
IA_AE_INSTALLED_RESTWS = 1
CurrentVersion = 12.1.01.00
INSTALL_TIME = 18/12/2023 10:24:49

NOTE: The IA_AE_INSTALLED_EEM = is set to 0 as it has already been upgraded

Source the Environment Variables files as root
$AUTOUSER directory:

    autosys.sh.hostname
    —for Bourne shell users
    autosys.csh.hostname
    —for C shell users
    autosys.ksh.hostname
    —for Korn shell users
    autosys.bash.hostname
    —for Bash shell users

Then run the installer again.

After the installation is completed, edit the $ATUOSYS/globalVars and set the IA_AE_INSTALLED_EEM = 1
