Adding a deployment target fails in VCF Operations 9.0, ERROR: Connection failed- internal_error(80)

Issue/Introduction

You have successfully added vCenter adapter integration in VCF Operations and the vCenter server is in 'Collecting' status and 'Data receiving' state under Integrations. 

However,  when you try to add the vCenter server (v8.0) as a deployment target under Lifecycle -> VCF Management ->Settings,

its failing to validate connection with Error: ' Connection failed- internal_error(80)'

Resolution

As per documentation Add a Deployment Target and Import VCF Operations into VCF Operations fleet management

Note: To add the deployment target, the SDDC and vCenter must be version 9.0 or later
