Issue/Introduction

Issue:

We are getting the following message when running a batch terminal interface (BTI) job.


CA-7.255 WAITING FOR CA-7 TO COME UP. REPLY 'END' TO TERMINATE BTI JOB. 

 

Cause

The communications data set (UCC7CMDS DD) was not updated in the BTI procedure (PROC) to the new one being used for the upgraded release

Environment

Release: 11.3, 12.0, 12.1Component: 7

Resolution

The problem is that the UCC7CMDS data set  is not correct in the BTI job. The UCC7CMDS in the BTI job must match the UCC7CMDS in the CA 7 started task. The BTI uses this data set to check bit settings to determine if CA 7 is up and to set the bit to on for the batch terminal that it will be using. 

Please change the UCC7CMDS data set name in the BTI job to the same data set  CA 7 is using and then rerun your BTI job.
