Remediation pre-check reports a warning: "vSAN health check failed" while upgrading the vSAN hosts

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms : 

• During the vSAN ESXi host upgrade via vCenter, the Remediation Pre-check displays the following warning:
  "vSAN health check failed
Remediation will not succeed until VSAN health issues are resolved.
Hardware compatibility - vSAN HCL DB up-to-date"

Environment

VMware vSAN 6.x
VMware vSAN 7.x
VMware vSAN 8.x

Cause

This warning occurs when the vSAN HCL (Hardware Compatibility List) database in vCenter is outdated. If the vCenter Server does not have internet access, the vSAN HCL database will not update automatically, resulting in the pre-check failure.
