Unable to migrate PaloAltoNetwork Virtual Machines

Issue/Introduction

- The prompt in the image is a warning from vCenter when trying to migrate which says "Solution vSphere ESX Agent Manager manages the selected virtual machine. You should not modify the virtual machine directly. Use the management console of the solution to make changes"

 

-vMotion compatibility checks fails with the error 

Environment

VMware Esxi 7.0

VMware Esxi 8.0

Cause

Direct operations like migrating, editing settings, powering off, or deleting are not recommended unless done from the solution’s own management interface.

Resolution

-Please consult with your network/security team (especially for security appliances) and then contact the vendor(PaloAltoNetworks) for migrating the VM manually.
