sqlserver probe free space checkpoint reports incorrect value or arithmetic overflow error

Issue/Introduction

Incorrect sizing:

free_space checkpoint reports the following alarms 

1. Incorrect values with 0.00% or negative values

2. sql server arithmetic overflow error converting expression data type

fg_freeSpace_with_avail_disk' checkpoint shows an alarm with 0.00% free space with an available disk allocated

Environment

• sqlserver probe version 5.61 through 6.02

Resolution

This issue is sometimes seen when the MS SQL database has data files configured with both Limited and Unlimited Autogrowth settings. To resolve this issue, deploy the attached sqlserver (sqlserver-5.62-T5.zip) probe version using the steps below:

1. Download and import sqlserver-5.62-T5.zip to the UIM Archive

2. Deactivate the sqlserver probe

3. (Optional) RDP to the server where the sqlserver probe resides and make a backup of the '\Nimsoft\probes\database\sqlserver' folder

4. Deploy the sqlserver 5.62-T5

5. Activate the sqlserver probe
