Issue/Introduction

The package `podman` version `5:5.4.0-10.el9_6` was detected in `YUM/DNF package manager` on a machine running `RedHat 9.6` is vulnerable to `CVE-2025-6032`, which exists in versions `< 5:5.4.0-12.el9_6`. The vulnerability was found in the [Official RedHat Security Advisories](RHSA-2025:10550 with vendor severity: `High` (awaiting NVD analysis, [CNA] CVE-2025-6032 severity: `High`). The vulnerability can be remediated by updating the package to version `5:5.4.0-12.el9_6` or higher, using `yum update podman`. The package is associated with the technology `Podman`.

Resolution

Just update the podman package themselves. The installer only verifies the package is present at minimum supported version but does not track any vulnerable versions.

The customer can easily run yum update podman to get the new version. Please do it and report back if it broke anything regarding OPMS installation, it should not.
