Cause

Third-party agents and/or service monitoring tools such as PRTG are able to control Windows services. Changes to VIP EG require services to be stopped and started by the VIP Enterprise Gateway.

Resolution

Temporarily disable 3rd-party service monitoring of the VIP Enterprise Gateway services. This will allow changes to be made and VIP services to restart correctly.
