Error writing to directory when applying DLP 16.1 MP1

Issue/Introduction

The following error appears when trying to apply DLP 16.1 MP1 to a DLP 16.1 Detection Server:

"Error writing to file <Install Directory>\Program Files\SymantecDataLossPrevention\KeyView\23.4\Protect\plugins\contentextraction\Verity\x64\9293110.rbf. Verify you have access to that directory."

Symantec Data Loss Prevention 16.x

Cause

User running the upgrade does not have permissions to the required directories

Resolution

Run the .msp with Administrator permissions
