Issue/Introduction

  • Zero value for Metrics 'Summary | Metering| Month to Date CPUCPU/Memory/Storage Price' for virtual machines.
  • Cost engine configured to run at host time (GMT+2/ CEST) and Price engine runs at GMT 0.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

When Pricing Policy is based on Cost metrics, cost engine must run before price engine to avoid incorrect calculation.

Resolution

Refer below steps to modify Cost Calculation.

  1. Login to Aria Operations UI page.
  2. Go to Administration > Global Settings.
  3. Change Cost Calculation to 12:00 AM under 'Cost/Price'.
  4. Save the changes.

Note: Changes in the result will reflect in 24hrs.
