Error "Operation failed, failed to install update: Is a directory." when attempting upgrade SRM / VR to VLR 9.0.4 / 9.0.5

Issue/Introduction
The ISO is attached to 9.0.2.2 and upgrade is run from the management UI (VAMI) the below error is thrown:
Error "Operation failed, failed to install update: Is a directory." while upgrading SRM / VR from 9.0.2.2 to VLR 9.0.4 or 9.0.5
Environment
VMware Site Recovery Manager (VLSR) 9.0.2.2
VMware vSphere Replication Appliance 9.0.2.2
Cause
This is expected behaviour when the ISO is directly attached to 9.0.2.2 while upgrading to 9.0.4 or 9.0.5 version
9.0.4 Version | Build 24963726 / 9.0.5 Version | Build 25103105 has been simplified by combining multiple appliances for VMware Live SIte Recovery, vSAN Data Protection and vSphere Replication into a single VMware Live Recovery Appliance

Deploy new VLR appliance and then Converge the appliance to 9.0.4 or 9.0.5
