VCF Usage Meter UI gets stuck at loading and eventually fails with error 'This Site can't be reached'

Issue/Introduction

• VCF Usage Meter 9.0 UI fails to load and the error 'This Site can't be reached' is reported in the browser
• 'status.sh' reports all services to be running and VAMI portal (<https://UM-IPaddress:5480>) is accessible, however the product UI(<https://UM-IPaddress>) fails to load with error mentioned above.

Environment

VCF Usage Meter 9.x

Cause

This issue is caused by firewall restrictions in the environment that blocked access to Usage Meter UI on port 443

 

Resolution

To resolve this issue, ensure that the client machine is allowed to communicate with the Usage Meter address(IP and FQDN) over the network and/or firewall on port 443
