Spectrum MiB Tools lost Mibs after Upgrade to 24.3.8

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading, some MIB files where missing when browsing MIB files through the use of MIB Tools on the OneClick server.

Upon importing the MIB files, the events were still mapped, and the AlertMap and EventDisp files are as expected.

 

Environment

Spectrum 24.3.x

Cause

It is possible that during the upgrade, it backed up the MIB files in the MibDatabase.backup directory and then recompiled the default.  From the MibDatabase.backup directory, we can see the MIB file missing and the backup directory have the same time stamp but the MIB file is an older version.  From the MIB file, we can see the content is missing a dependent entry.  Which also explains why the compilation failed.

 

Resolution

Customer to re-import the MIB files
