Replacing the VMware Identity Manager (vIDM) SSL certificates in Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager fails with error code LCMVIDM74068.

Issue/Introduction

When replacing the VMware Identity Manager (vIDM) SSL certificates using Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager, it fails, and you receive an error:

Error Code: LCMVIDM74068.
Failed to create SSH connection to the host(s). Refer to VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle logs for additional details.

 

Environment

Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.x

Cause

SSH access to the VMware Identity Manager node is failing when attempting to connect with the root user credentials.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

• Ensure SSH is enabled on the VMware Identity Manager node. Unable to login to VMware Identity Manager SSH sessions using root user
• Ensure that the root password on the VMware Identity manager is not expired. Root password reset on VMware Identity Manager 3.3.x
• Ensure root password stored in the VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle inventory is correct. Viewing passwords stored in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle (vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager) Locker
