Google BigQuery dialect is switching from legacy SQL to GoogleSQL

Issue/Introduction

Starting August 1, 2025, Google BigQuery's default query dialect is switching from legacy SQL to GoogleSQL (also called Standard SQL) across the Google Cloud Platform.  This transition primarily affects how new queries are run by default through the console, command line, API, and third-party tools that interact with BigQuery.

Resolution

This change will not impact platform data collection since CloudHealth already uses GoogleSQL for all queries. No action is required as long as billing data collection and processing continue to use GoogleSQL-compliant syntax and queries.
