Compute Profile edit/creation fails with error Transport zone not found

Issue/Introduction

• On Target HCX Manager UI, while creating or editing a compute profile related to enable Network Extension Service, it fails.
  
  
• Login to the Target HCX Manager UI as [e-mail] user, Navigate to Interconnect --> Compute Profiles --> Try to create or edit a Compute profile. It fails with the error below.
  
  /infra/sites/default/enforcement-points/default/transport-zones/ESXi-Overlay-TransportZone: Transport Zone not found

Environment

VMware HCX

Cause

• The NSX-T Overlay Transport Zone that is selected to be configured into the Compute Profile is missing or in an unknown state on the Destination NSX environment.

 

Resolution

• On the destination NSX-T UI manager, Login as user admin and Navigate to --> System --> Fabric --> Transport Zones
• Ensure that the corresponding NSX-T Overlay Transport Zone is present and with status UP
• Further, ensure that the ESXi host configured into the NSX-T cluster are also part of the transport zone.

• On the Target HCX UI manager, Login as [e-mail] , Navigate to Interconnect --> Compute Profile --> Edit --> Select the correct and appropriate NSX-T Overlay Transport Zone as shown below
• Click on Continue and Finish.
