Issue/Introduction

High CPU warnings on multiple Load balancers (or other applicable products) with more than 1 Edge.

  • Aria operations showing high CPU on Edges

Environment

  • VMware NSX
  • Multiple VMware native load balancer or applicable services per T1

Cause

  • Multiple T1(s) with Load Balancers (or other applicable products) on a single edge may exhibit higher than expected CPU usage and result in CPU warnings being generated.

Resolution

This may help "PIN" Load Balancers associated with a T1 to a specific EDGE to mitigate potential resource contention. This is expected behavior with a high number of services configured per T1.

  • Workaround:
  • To have a T1 "Fail Back" to an edge use the preemptive Fail Over as shown
  • Select the "Auto Allocate Edges" to off
  • Then choose the edge(s)
