Users observe discrepancy where the Estimated To Complete (ETC) Cost values displayed under the Assignments tab and the Plannec Cost values on Financial Plan view (Cost Plan) for a project did not match. This inconsistency was noted for every period and was consistent across both the Classic User Interface (UI) and the New User Experience (UX). This issue specifically affected ETC values and not other financial fields.
v16.3.2
The discrepancy in ETC COst values between assignments and the cost plan typically arises from a data synchronization issue within the Clarity PPM application. Over time, or due to various project updates, the underlying data that populates assignments might fall out of sync with the data reflected in the financial plans. This requires a specific background job to recalculate and refresh these values to ensure consistency.
Execute the 'Update Cost Totals' job on the affected project. This job recalculates and synchronizes cost-related data, including ETC, ensuring that all financial views reflect the most current and accurate information from assignments.
