Downloading files for an internet-restricted environment fails with error Proxy Authentication Required

Issue/Introduction

• Network connectivity and ports have been opened to allow connectivity to the Pulling Tanzu packages from projects.registry.vmware.com fails to pull image with error read: connection reset by peer
  
  
• Using the command "tanzu isolated-cluster download-bundle --source-repo projects.registry.vmware.com/tkg --tkg-version v#.#.#" fails to download some of the bundles with errors similar to:
  

  error while downloading images projects.registry.vmware.com/tkg/packages/standard/repo:v2025.6.18: Reading Images from Bundle: Retrieving images for bundle 'projects.registry.vmware.com/tkg/packages/standard/cluster-autoscaler@sha256:a3ac681050d2f770939bdb68c03d898288bdc3d20c6c3f0b1fd68027ccb353ee': Checking image existence: Error while preparing a transport to talk with the registry: Unable to create round tripper: Get "https://projects.packages.broadcom.com/v2/": Proxy Authentication Required

• The online system is protected by security software or intrusion protection systems.

Resolution

1. Investigate the security systems involved to determine if/why the connections is being interfered with. 
   
   
2. Download the data using a connected device that can temporarily bypass the systems causing the problem.
   
   
3. Verify the source directory has 90GB of free space
