Issue/Introduction

Administrators may encounter error "% Cannot delete service-group specified, it is in use." while trying to delete ICAP service group. Typically this error indicates that the ICAP service group is still referenced in the Edge SWG policy. However it may still appear even if all policy references have been removed. 

Environment

Edge SWG appliance with an ICAP service group configured.

Cause

It may be a stuck reference in the Edge SWG registry causing this error message.

Resolution

  1. Verify that all ICAP service group references have been removed from the policy. Check all policy sources - VPM, local, central and forward files
  2. Reboot Edge SWG appliance to clear registry in the proxy 
  3. Re-attempt deleting ICAP service group  
  4. If the error persists after reboot please raise a technical support service request
