Symantec Email Security.cloud
Email Security.cloud does not store email message content or attachments during transit.
Email bodies and attachments are processed in memory only.
Message content is not written to disk and is not retained after processing.
Once security scanning and policy evaluation are complete, messages are delivered or forwarded immediately.
Email Security.cloud retains limited metadata only for operational and audit purposes, such as:
Sender and recipient addresses
Message processing timestamps
Policy actions applied
Internal message identifiers
This metadata does not include email bodies or attachments.
Typical retention periods for metadata and logs include:
Track & Trace logs: approximately 30 days
Backend service logs: up to 14 days
Data Protection policy logs: up to 40 days
Data Feed API logs: up to 7 days
Audit logs: up to 1 year
