After MCS Template migration profiles are no longer showing in the OC

Issue/Introduction

After triggering a MCS Template migration that went into a error state, the vmware Enhancemed MCS profiles went to status modified, then notified than al in OK. 
However, the MCS UI is no longer showing the profiles. Profiles (0). 

The profiles tables seem all to be correct and they are not missing from the DB, but still the profiles are not seen in the UI. 

Environment

DX UIM 23.4.*

Cause

Legacy migration step can cause stuck migration and can cause this issue.

Resolution

Since 23.4CU1 one_step_migrator must be used for migrating MCS Templates 

 

Steps to resolve the issue: 

1. Use One-step migrator: (run one_step_migrator callback with the template name and template package version) 


The One-step migrator is used to migrate only the Enhanced profiles related to one template version to the latest version. The one_step_migrator takes a single iteration to migrate the existing profile to a profile belonging to the latest version of the template. The Logs of the one-step migrator are available in the same file as that of the MCS log.
