Issue/Introduction

Planning to migrate current internal approver groups which are limited to 16 approvers to external approver groups using ACF2.
During the transition is it possible to have some approval groups as internal mode while others are external i.e. a mixture of group types?

Resolution

Although the doc page EndevorĀ® 19.0 > Administrating > Package Administration > Approver Groups does not explicitly say so, having a mixture of internal and external approver groups is supported.
All approver groups, internal and external, must be defined in Endevor. The difference is that an internal group has 1 to 16 user ids stored in its MCF definition and an external group has zero user ids, which leads Endevor to check with the security product to see whether the user is a member of the group.

Additional Information

The Defaults Table C1DEFLTS has parameter PKGSEC with a MIGRATE option available.
