Issue/Introduction

• Performing traceroute between 2 VMs over a specific port (443,80,22) shows the following:
  

  > traceroute #.#.#.# 443

Cause

• A traceroute response of "!A" signifies that access to the host or network specified is prohibited.

Resolution

• Engage guest OS vendor or app owner to troubleshoot why the port is administratively blocked.
