AD authentication for management console on Vapp

Issue/Introduction

Is there a way to secure IDM management console access using AD credentials on Vapp?

Environment

Vapp Identity Manager 14.5

Cause

Not able to add new user directory and assign it to  AuthenticationDirectory under Vapp

Resolution

Vapp did not allow to add a new AuthenticationDirectory on management console.  In order to using AD authentication to access the management console.  It can use Siteminder to protect management console realm with AD or 3rd party SSO solution such as  ADFS on application level.
