Issue/Introduction

After update of vSAN cluster to version 8.0.3 (and when VMware vSphere Replication is in use) frequent events similar to: 

'Update vSAN configuration/Changed custom field com.vmware.vsan.hostinsyncgen' events in vCenter's task list. 

...may be seen in vCenter's task list. Additionally, messages similar to:

Environment

VMware vSAN 8.x
VMware vSphere Replication

Cause

Cosmetic issue between hostd (ESXi) and HMS (VMware vSphere Replication) services in SSL thumbprint update reporting. Issue does not impact functionality of the SSL protocol itself. 

Resolution

This issue does not have negative impact on workloads and/or cluster's functionality. Fix is scheduled to be released in the upcoming VCF 9.1 release.
