In VMware Cloud Director version 10.6, users may notice that the "Monitoring Chart" button is missing from the Virtual Machine UI. This button is typically used to view VM performance metrics such as CPU, memory, and disk usage over time.
Symptoms include:
Absence of the Monitoring Chart button in the VM UI.
Inability to view historical VM performance metrics.
VMware Cloud Director 10.6.0
This issue occurs when the Cassandra service is not configured in the VMware Cloud Director 10.6.0 environment.
Run the following on any Cloud Director cell:
The output should look like this:
Current cassandra cluster configuration:
Nodes: null
Port: null
If the Nodes and Port are null as shown above, Cassandra is not configured
*Note: Cassandra should not be installed on the appliances. Use separate machines if you are using the appliance.

Port 9042 is listening and reachable from all Cloud Director cells.
