Upgrading To Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18

Issue/Introduction

This article intends to provide information to enable a successful upgrade to  VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18

Resolution

• • Read the target version Release Notes and be aware of Known Issues.
  • Ensure ports required for the upgrade are open e.g. 443/8080 see VMware Ports & Protocols.
  • Ensure that you have a recent backup
  • Download the required upgrade file from the Broadcom Support Portal
  • Verify that you meet the system requirements. See System requirements for VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.
  • Upgrade to Aria Suite Lifecycle  8.18 using the steps documented here
  • The Upgrade Pre-Check should be run at least 10 days in advance of a scheduled upgrade window to allow time to address any issues found
    • These Pre-Checks are part of the upgrade process and can be executed at any time prior  to submitting the task
