Issue/Introduction

When importing Users and Groups, not all users and group members are synced.

Groups are missing users.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.x

Resolution

Workaround: Change service account being used for AD sync to a domain admin account and attempt to sync users and groups again.

To initiate an Auth Source sync, go to Administration -> Control Panel -> Authentication Sources. Click on the 3 dots next to your configured AD source and click Synchronize User Groups

If the above sync is successful, with all users and group members properly synced, then check service account user for AD permissions within AD. You may have users in restricted or confidential groups which cannot be seen by the service account user. This issue is out of scope of Aria Operations and needs to be corrected via Active Directory.
