Work around to allow importing content from an existing Aria cluster into a new Aria environment and make sure the assigned policy is not ignored.

Issue/Introduction

A feature of Aria Operations is the ability to transfer content, such as dashboards, alerts, and other objects. In some instances, importing content from an Aria Operations cluster to another Aria Operations cluster will ignore or by-pass the assigned policy.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

 

Resolution

As a work around and to prevent the issue from happening, follow these guidelines:

1. Export the policy and save it with a new name

2. remove the policy from operations>>configuration>>policy management in Aria Operations

3. Re-import the policy

4. Import environment content
