Aria Operation for Logs: NSX plugin installed, NSX components correctly sending logs, but NSX dashboard are blanked

Issue/Introduction

You have successfully installed latest NSX Content pack v4.1 or v4.2 in Aria Operation for Logs 8.18.x, then configured on all our NSX Managers remote syslog to it.

You see the logs coming both from NSX Managers and Edge nodes in Explorer view of Aria Operation for Logs .However, the dashboard provided by the NSX plugin are blank

Aria Operations for logs 8.18.x

Cause

The dashboard displayed zero values because there were no specific events occurring within the selected 5-minute window.

Resolution

For these dashboard to work, it is required that the NSX Content pack is configured after installing, Please follow the NSX setup instructions on the Content pack 

Post configuration, please expand the time interval in the Aria Operations for Logs UI > Navigate to Dashboards >Select the required dashboard > Increase the time range to a larger interval (for example, 1 hour, 24 hours, or more) to verify that the data is being populated in the dashboards.

Additional Information

Note: This is not a requirement for the log ingestion feature in VMware Cloud Director to work.

Just installing the latest content pack is the requirement as mentioned in Configure a Log Provider in VMware Cloud Director
